Our Goal
Our Public Works team played a key role in planning and managing the rezoning and DRI application for Lakes at Green Valley. Our approach focused on maximizing the property’s potential while preserving its natural beauty. We worked to enhance and protect the existing lakes, streams, and forested areas by incorporating thoughtful design solutions, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Preserving the park’s natural features, such as the vegetated buffers, was central to our vision.
The LJA Roadmap
This project encompassed the design of a 2.1-mile roadway and accompanying infrastructure where some of the key elements included the rehabilitation of existing dams, wetlands documentation, and grading lot pads for individual park lots. Drip irrigation was primarily used to conserve water, while spray heads were employed only for grassed areas. This thoughtful approach ensured efficient water management while maintaining the park’s landscape.

Sustainable and Efficient
Multiple stream crossings were needed to construct the parkway. Precast open-bottom arches were utilized to preserve the stream segments and protect the stream ecosystem.

Expanding Industry, Preserving Nature
In addition to eleven industrial lots, this site includes areas for commercial development, residential development, and a nature center to be utilized with a large green space area encompassing the lakes. The overall construction involved earthwork quantities of nearly one million cubic yards and the rehabilitation of nine of the lake dams.
